St. Louis Record Show Recap

Yesterday was the record show in St. Louis. I missed the May show because I was under the weather, so I was especially rarin' to go. The summer show is always a little less crowded on both the dealer and customer ends but there was a pretty good turn-out.

I had a lot of fun and got lots of great records. Not much garage rock, this time. Mostly soul and r&b, with some blues and a few early rockers. I even scored some really good black gospel thanks to Tony C., who has so many records that he can bring something different to each and every show.

Anyway, here's a listing of most of what I got. I'm already looking forward to the next show in September.

I notice an interesting chicken to gospel ratio in the track listings.

DD- yeah, I take requests. I'll try and post it tomorrow, if I can. Busy weekend coming up.

Redboy - lots of chicken and gospel in soul music. The Five Du-Tones record is a killer. Of the gospel stuff, the Rev. Clay Evans is a must hear, just great.
