Vince Edwards - Squeelin' Parrot (Twist)

Just some fun here for a Sunday. I wrote a bit about this record on the blog about five years ago, before we had sound capabilities. Vince Edwards played Dr. Ben Casey on TV. He made a few other records. I'm not sure that a need to hear any of the rest. This greatness is the exception.

I've stumbled across your blog via a link to blogs on another blog and
    I've noticed your post of the 'Russ-Fi' label 7" 45 :
    "SQUEELIN' PARROT"
    By Vince 'Ben Casey' Edwards.

I've been looking for the Flip Side
"WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?" for years as I've been told it's the Blue Print, First Piece To A Reggae Version recorded by the Jamaican vocal trio THE HEPTONES at the legendary STUDIO ONE in Kingston during the Rocksteady era.

Would you be so kind as to post it on your blog or maybe even email an mp3 of it to me at :

  2. We play that on air during his birthday. It was actually released TWICE by Russ-Fi, both times it bombed.
