The Falcons - Let's Kiss and Make Up/Take This Love I Got

Back after a long layoff for a weekend post. Maybe I ought to subtitle this entry, "adventures in scratchy records, part one". I don't care though because, sometimes, records are great scratches and all.

I found this at a recent record show and it's a two-sided winner. My somewhat limited experience says grab a Falcons record whenever you see one. This rule certainly applies here. Love the guitar work, among other things.

  1. Probably an obvious thing to mention [even though it's not true of all Falcon singles], that's Wilson Pickett singing lead.

    A truly great record...

  6. Hey guys,

We have been running our blog for close to year now, and we are making some changes. I'd like to turn it into a place that fans of old rock, pop, r&b, and soul can go to learn more about this music and it's history. We will make a special section for links that will be divided by genres so people who are looking for more, can go to find it. I've enjoyed reading your blog for a while now, and was wondering if we can swap links? You can go to www.rockandrollomnibus.com to look things over, and maybe check out our weekly radio show if you get the opportunity. If you have any question, please let me know.

  7. Fantastic! We get so used to hearing everything nowadays so pristinely remastered for CD, that it sometimes comes as shock that records sound like this. And what could be better than Wilson Pickett squalling away through all the pops and cracks? And Robert Ward to boot.

One of the most enjoying and coolest music album is there and that is named as Richard's "Heartbeat". That is a DJ song. 1st time i saw this video on my friend's laptop. After that i have become mad for this song. Here's the link of that video which made me crazy.
