The Interpertations: Soul Affection (Bell)
Here we have an amazing full-speed soul 45 which comes from a Philly group that appears to have a complicated history, which I won't go into. Once again we have Larry Grogan at Funky 16 Corners to thank for any information we have on them. It's on one of his earlier blogs, so it would be recommended to do a Google search for The Interpretations Soul Affection and you should be able to pick it up from there. But what you really should do is give this a listen. It's a super-speed soul stomper in the vein of Watson and the Sherlocks' "Funky Walk" on Soulville if you've ever had the chance to hear that. Until you do, give this a play. I'm sure you'll dig it. You'd better.

Name of band on label is 'The Interpertations' - should we interpret that as a misprint? Larry Grogan's blog refers to them as the 'The Interpretations' and makes no reference to the spelling.
My copy calls them The Interpertations also. I'll correct that on the heading.
Pretty sure the label is just a misprint.
The label is a misprint. Here's the link to the article:

that great!
Carl Helm, listed as a producer was a DJ on WDAS, IIRC.
I have a copy of this song with the same typo. One of those fun 45s that we got in those box of records which was popular back in the 70s, 10 records for 2 bucks at K Mart. Never heard on the radio but this got played a lot at my house!
