The Christian Brothers: Feelin' Bad/The Last Hour (Sidewinder LL-003)

Don't know much about this group other than that they were from California and that this was their only slab o'vinyl. But it's a good 'un. Both sides feature rat-a-tat-tat drumming that sounds (to me anyway) like hitting garbage cans, rough, but crunchy guitar work and soaring harmonies. "The Last Hour" is about a man being led to the electric chair and features a great fuzz solo midway through. "Feelin' Bad" is equally compelling although the vocals seem to get buried a bit. "FB" is comped on "A Deadly Dose of Wild Psych," so that may explain why it ended up costing a pretty penny. But such is the craziness of us 45 collectors, ehh?
